Presidential voting happens in November during the general election. Election Day is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, when people cast their ballots for president. After the votes are tallied, the Electoral College meets in December to finalize the result, and the president is inaugurated in January. So November is the month you vote for president; December and January are part of the process that follows the vote.
